December Letter from the Missionary

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

I thank God for all the support you continually give me and my mission.

In November, I challenged students to think about the purpose of their lives. A lot of students said either they had no purpose or they didn't know what it was yet. For these students, Christianity feels like a set of rules to follow. As we pursue Jesus, we find that He is what we need and that our purpose resides in the incarnate God. I gave a message about this on Nov. 6 to the high school students of Grace Church. Click here to listen.

Here is a snapshot of what else happened in November:

We started a weekly club at Kestrel Heights. The student leaders are excited and taking initiative to represent Christ well at their school.

“The Real” at Hillside is attracting new students and teachers every week looking to discuss spiritual matters.

Regular visits with specific students at school lunches has helped show them that they are cared for, and they feel Christ's love seeking them out.

In His Grip,

Adam

December Personal Update

I hope everyone is looking forward to a wonderful Christmas season! Elizabeth, Jilas, and I visited Kansas for Thanksgiving, but are staying in Durham for Christmas. Jilas is 16 months old on Dec. 9 – he's learned a few baby signs and loves asking for “more” of everything. Elizabeth will be 20 weeks pregnant on Dec. 27 and we will find out the sex of the baby then – we're hoping for a boy or a girl. I've been really enjoying working full-time on my ministry, and I am excited about the Christmas season.
